Halliday Enters Strategic Partnership with Web3Auth

Today, we’re thrilled to announce a partnership with Web3Auth to bring Social Login to Halliday Smart Accounts.

Web3Auth is a leader in helping developers abstract away the blockchain from their dApp users, and we could not be more excited to build our shared vision of onboarding the first billion users to Web3 together.

Partnership Details

Players accessing games already integrated with Halliday will be able to log on using an existing social networking account, like Google, Facebook or Discord. That means no more seed phrases!

With a Halliday Smart Account, game developers can offer their players all of the benefits of ERC-4337 (otherwise known as Account Abstraction), such as automated transaction signing sessions and gas sponsorship, in addition to Web3-native features possible only through Halliday, such as NFT Free Trials and Subscriptions.

With this partnership, players will be able to recover their accounts in the event of a lost or stolen password. In addition to streamlining the user experience to the level consumers have come to expect from leading Internet platforms, this partnership further strengthens account safety by eliminating a single point of failure.

Best of all, the entire experience will be fully non-custodial. That means players will be the undisputed owner of their account and their assets, while also being able to benefit from the experience that was previously only possible through less secure custodial wallets.
